Drafter / Drafter, Sr (Nuc)

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE


Perform various drafting assignments on all disciplines of engineering drawings by working with MicroStation and raster programs. Monitor due dates to assure drawings are updated per required timeframes.



JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES


Drafting of mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation Engineering drawings. Create sketches in a timely manner for emergent plant issues. Checking and approving drawing revisions for accuracy.


Provide oversight of Drafting Standards of work performed by Designers, consultants, etc.


Support¬ MicroStation and raster products.


Support computer updates and plot/scan equipment.


Support engineers in creating markups for drawing changes.


Maintain cad file database.


Monitor drawing database to assure drawings are updated per required due dates.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer 2 year technical degree or certification in Computer Aided Drafting.
Minimum experience required of the position
Previous drafting experience (board and computer). Proficient¬ MicroStation skills while applying basic drafting techniques and concepts.


Drafter I: 3+¬ years experience or 2 yr. technical certification with 1 year working experience


Drafter Sr: 8+ years experience or 2 yr. technical certification with 6 years working experience.¬ 
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Possesses good verbal and written communication skills. Has the ability to work with other personnel, departments, and organizations as part of a team. Computer proficiency; experience using technology.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
