Mgr, Security

The Security Manager is responsible for the overall implementation of the security program for the site. The Security Manager is responsible for managing Security Departmental activities to determine total impact on safety, regulatory requirements, industry guidelines, equipment reliability, standardization, fiscal responsibility, and reviewing Security Department work assignments to ensure the staff is responding appropriately and implementing the program as designed.
Champions the industrial safety performance for their department, makes industrial safety a top priority; Monitor and assess the department?s safety culture and safety conscious work environment, determine if actions are necessary to address shortfalls in either area; Managing Security Department activities and work requests; Reviewing Security Department work assignments; Reviewing day-to-day operations of the plant security program.
Ensuring company compliance with federal and state laws, and regulatory requirements; Maintaining compliance with fleet procedures and drive standardization efforts; Overseeing procedure and documentation activities; Implement the fleet SGI program in accordance with the fleet governance procedure; Strictly enforce weapons handling protocols IAW approved training plans and fleet governance procedures; Directing and overseeing the security department training program and ensuring procedural requirements are met.
Creating and approving changes to the Protective Strategy based on industry findings and OE; Proposing security design changes; Recommending necessary training for site and Security personnel; Providing final approval for recommended corrective actions.
Driving communication throughout the department by conducting procedurally required meetings that are designed to ensure open communications within the department; Communicating technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing; Keeping appropriate company management personnel apprised of security related activities and conditions; Attending fleet and/or industry meetings/conferences; Representing the Security Department at station meetings.
Creating and administering the Security Departmental budget; Ensure staffing issues are appropriately addressed in a timely manner to reduce overtime and burdens on the department; Performing and providing oversight of personnel performance reviews; Ensuring that Collective Bargaining Agreements are reviewed and consistently enforced within the appropriate processes.
Interfacing with Corporate Access/FFD related to fitness for duty and plant access; Serving as a member of the Emergency Response Organization; Approving audit and inspection schedules and review/approve audit/inspection reports; Maintaining liaison with off-site Law Enforcement; Implementing appropriate investigations within the plant confines and company property.
Minimum education required of the position
High School diploma or GED is required, or equivalent work experience. Desired: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Engineering or other discipline generally associated with plant operations.
Minimum experience required of the position
5 years of supervisory/management experience at an operating nuclear power plant. Desired: 5 years of experience in nuclear plant security, and experience supervising union and contract employees.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
Technical proficiency in Nuclear Security or the ability to acquire it rapidly. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation. Desired: Proficiency with current computer business applications. Outstanding communication, conflict management, and change management skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
